Terri McCraner

Terri Jean McCraner (Allen), a beacon of love and devotion, left this world on January 15th, 2025, after a short illness, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on July 16th, 1952, Terri graced us with her warmth and kindness for many years. 

Throughout her life, Terri dedicated herself to her role as a child support investigator for the Cass County Prosecutor's office, where she served with unwavering commitment for an impressive 37 years. Her dedication to helping families and children in need reflected her profound caring nature and her belief in the potential of every individual. Terri's work made a significant impact in her community, and she was a steadfast advocate for those she served.

Terri is survived by her loving family, which includes her two cherished siblings, Tim Allen and Becky McAtee. She was a devoted mother to her son, James McCraner, and his wife, Larissa McCraner (Johnson), and a proud grandmother to her grandchild, Aradia McCraner. Each member of her family held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in the moments spent together, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

An avid dog lover, Terri's compassion extended beyond her family to include countless rescue animals who found comfort and love under her care. Her nurturing spirit knew no bounds and will be remembered through the many lives she touched, both human and furry.

Terri's joyous personality and infectious laughter will be deeply missed. She was known for her fun-loving nature, always ready to bring a smile to someone's face. Her legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
