It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Rae Kasankiewicz, a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, on December 31, 2024, in Wyoming, MI. Born on May 9, 1973, Robin was a devoted mother, a cherished sister, and a loving grandmother, embodying the virtues of strength, care, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
Throughout her career in the Food & Beverage industry, Robin was not only recognized for her work ethic but also for her infectious enthusiasm that resonated with colleagues and patrons alike. Her passion for her profession was matched only by her love for music. Robin had an incredible appreciation for all genres, yet she had a special fondness for Kid Rock, Country, Old School Rock. The joy music brought her was matched by the warmth she shared with those around her, further solidifying her reputation as the caring, family-oriented individual we all cherished.
Robin leaves behind her four beloved children: Amber M Simmons, Ryan L Simmons, Brandon (Hannah) M Sherman, and Justin (Josie) A Sherman, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. The loss of their mother is immeasurable, but they find solace in the beautiful memories they created together. Robin was also a proud grandmother to seven adored grandchildren: Raeleigh, Decker, Millie, Mason, Nora, Justin Jr. "JJ", and Stella. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and her love for them was evident in every moment they spent together.
She was also a devoted sister to Loralei Kasankiewicz and Sheryl Kasankiewicz, and their bond was a testament to the strength of familial love, and was also loving aunt Bobbie to her many nieces and nephews. Robin’s life, although cut short, was certainly filled with moments of joy and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Eugene Kasankiewicz, and her mother, Mildred "Millie" Malone. Their unyielding support and love shaped the remarkable person she became.
As we remember Robin Rae Kasankiewicz, we will celebrate her love for her family, her unwavering spirit, and her passion for music. She leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled, but her memory will remain a guiding light in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Robin; your music will play on in our hearts forever.
