Linda D. Hover

Linda D. Hover, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Kalamazoo, MI. Born on June 27, 1956, in Watervliet, MI, Linda brought light and joy to all who knew her.

For two decades, Linda dedicated her career to serving as a paraprofessional for the Van Buren Intermediate School District, where she worked lovingly with special needs children. Her commitment to her vocation was unwavering; she never complained about her work, carrying out her responsibilities with genuine passion and dedication. Linda was a vibrant person who lived to help others, always wearing a radiant smile that uplifted those around her.

Outside of her professional life, Linda had a flair for style, always putting herself together with precision. Her makeup, hair, and matching jewelry complemented her outgoing personality. She had a zest for life that inspired many and made her a beloved presence.

Linda loved the outdoors and found joy in everyday activities, whether it was fishing or taking long walks in the woods with her dogs. She also had a creative side, enjoying hobbies such as crafting, reading, and wood burning. Her fondness for treasure hunting was evident in her frequent excursions to garage sales, where she delighted in discovering unique finds.

Married to her husband David for 50 wonderful years, their bond was a testament to love and partnership. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home for their son Justin and his wife Candice. Linda took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Alyssa and Kayle, cherishing the moments spent creating memories with them.

Linda is survived by her loving husband David; son, Justin (Candice) Hover; grandchildren, Alyssa and Kayle; father, Erwin Austin, and her brother, Mike Austin. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Austin.

Her vibrant spirit and dedication to lifting others will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Linda D. Hover leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
