Jody Allen Gray, born on March 27, 1975, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has left us far too soon, passing away unexpectedly on February 21, 2025, in Otsego, Michigan. He was a shining light in the lives of many, known for his infectious laughter and fun-loving spirit. Jody had an innate ability to make those around him smile; he was a true jokester who found joy in bringing happiness to others.
Jody worked primarily in construction for the majority of his work life. Beyond his work, his passion for music resonated deeply within him. He was a self-taught musician, proficient in multiple instruments, with a special love for the harmonica. Jody cherished his extensive collection of musical instruments and spent countless hours expressing himself through the melodies he created.
Jody's beloved dog, Molly, held a special place in his heart, and he is now reunited with her in peace. His loving nature extended to his family, who will forever remember him with fondness. Jody is survived by his mother, Barbara Gray; his son, Asher; and his five siblings, Shawn (Laura) Gray, Theresa (Michael) Guttery, Christy (Hank) Clement, Victor Gray, and James (Yvonne) Gray. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who were fortunate to know his kindness and humor.
Jody's laughter, and love will be dearly missed, but his memory will carry on through the many lives he touched. He leaves a legacy of joy and music that will resonate within our hearts forever.
Private family services will be held. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions in his memory to Wishbone Pet Rescue https://wishbonepetrescue.org/
