George Alan Osborn, a man of unwavering spirit and deep-rooted love, passed away at his home in Parchment, Michigan, on February 12, 2025, just ten days shy of his 73rd birthday. Born on February 22, 1952, in Kalamazoo, George was a steadfast figure whose presence was felt by all who knew him.

A dedicated worker, George spent much of his life at a papermill, embodying a strong work ethic that was remarkable. He was proud to have graduated high school and carried his education with him as he navigated life’s challenges, showing a relentless determination that often defined him. This determination was mirrored by his personality, marked by stubbornness and a selfless nature that endeared him to many.

George had a deep love for his family, which was evident in the way he cherished his children, Katie and Joshua "Josh," and his grandchildren: Amelia, Kaleb, Maxwell, Eva, Veda, Jackson, and Arneda. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he thrived on watching them grow and flourish. He approached fatherhood with a blend of care and responsible affection, ensuring that they felt supported and loved.

Despite his hard-headedness, there was a tenderness in George that his loved ones will always remember. His caring nature shone brightly during conversations, moments spent watching the news, or while getting lost in old war movies, reflecting his passion for history and storytelling. Often, you could find him strolling to Hardings for a cup of coffee and a chat with the locals, a simple pleasure that highlighted his love for community and connection.

Perhaps most importantly, George will be reunited with his beloved sister-in-law, Kendra, whom he lovingly referred to as "His Princess." The family finds solace in knowing that they are together again, bringing a sense of peace amidst their sorrow.

George was a son of Louis “Bill” Osborn and Dorothy Osborn, who paved the way for him with values of loyalty and respect. He is also survived by his brothers Roger, Bill, and Daniel Osborn, and sister Anna, who will forever carry the memories of their beloved brother in their hearts.
