George E. McKeever, a beloved father, grandfather, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully in Battle Creek, Michigan, on December 26, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on March 22, 1971, in Manchester, Michigan, George brought joy to many with his warm spirit and vibrant personality.
George dedicated a significant part of his professional life working as a garbage truck driver for Sammy's Disposal. Outside of his career, George was known for his passion for tinkering with tools and his tractor. He loved to engage in hands-on projects that showcased his creativity and resourcefulness. Additionally, he was an avid musician, often playing guitar and singing, filling the air around him with melodies that brought smiles to those in his company. His love for gardening further highlighted his nurturing soul, always ensuring that his surroundings were full of life.
George is survived by his loving children: Melissa (Charles Lilly) Fenton, Kevin (Madelin) Fenton, and Jamie (Tim) Walling. He was a proud grandfather to Katie, Gracie, Annabelle, Calvin, Violet, Caiden, Joshua, Alexander, Gabby, Ava, and Max, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also remembered by his relatives, including his cousins, Lori Rowe and Dudley Rowe, as well as his nephew, John McKeever.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McKeever; his mother, Zeria Perkins McKeever; his brother, Larry McKeever; and his grandson, Gabe, all of whom will be fondly remembered as part of George’s cherished memory.
George E. McKeever leaves behind a legacy of love, and family values. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his spirit will continue to resonate through the joyful memories he created.
