Eric Stephen Pilch

Eric Stephen Pilch, a beloved son, father, sibling, and friend, embarked on his final journey on February 24, 2025, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born on November 6, 1982, in South Haven, Michigan Eric's life was a vibrant testament to joy, love, and unforgettable connections.

A graduate of Bangor High School, Eric built a successful career in marketing and sales with Errl King, where he not only thrived professionally but also fostered lasting friendships that enriched his life. Colleagues and friends will remember him as the life of the party, always bringing laughter and light wherever he went. His fun-loving spirit was infectious, creating bonds that many cherished deeply.

Eric had an insatiable love for traveling, and those who were fortunate enough to share moments with him discovered a man who truly appreciated the beauty of the world around him. He found joy in thrifting, uncovering hidden treasures, and was devoted to spending quality time with family and friends. An animal lover at heart, his compassion extended beyond people, reflecting the warmth and kindness that defined his character.

Eric leaves behind two beloved children, Julius and Katarina, along with their mother, Krystal Pilch. His love and devotion to them will live on in the memories they created together. He is also survived by his mother, Judy (Jim) Caldwell; siblings, Heidi Gruntman, Ryan Pilch, and Martin (Melissa) Pilch; and his cherished grandmother, Marie Cole. 

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Pilch, whose memory remains a guiding light for Eric’s family.

In remembrance of Eric's vibrant spirit, a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date, a gathering that will honor the laughter, love, and warmth he brought into this world. Eric will be dearly missed by his many friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews—each of whom carries a piece of his legacy in their hearts.

As we navigate through the sorrow of his unexpected departure, let us carry forward Eric's zest for life, his sense of adventure, and his ability to brighten any room with a smile.
