Craig Lee Dymond born August 9th, 1957, a longtime Lansing resident, passed away on March 15th, 2025. Craig was renowned for his relentless drive and commitment. His remarkable 35-year career at General Motors in the experimental engineering department was marked by dedication and significant achievements.
Outside of work, Craig's passion extended to General Motors classic muscle and big block cars, especially the iconic Oldsmobile 442. A fan of 1970s and 80s music, Supertramp topped his playlist. He was often found in the garage, a place filled with beloved cars and close friends, playing the air guitar between turning wrenches. His infectious smile and spirited demeanor brought life to every gathering.
Recently, Craig celebrated four years of sobriety, a milestone that highlights his considerable strength and resolve. This achievement was supported by his involvement in AA, his sponsors, and his best friend’s unwavering support.
He is survived directly by his beloved daughter, Jessica and two grandchildren; his mother, Margaret Harman; his brothers, Rick and Jeff; his loving partner, Deb Finley; and his lifelong best friend, Rich Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. The lasting memories and deep friendships Craig formed will forever resonate with all who were fortunate to know him
