Brenda Jo (Church) Riddle, age 65, from Marshall Michigan, passed away at Oaklawn Hospital on March 12, 2025, after battling cancer. Brenda was a graduate of Harper Creek High School, class of 1977.
After Brenda graduated high school, she went to work for her mother, at MILadys beauty salon, working side by side, with her mother and sister. The three of them throughout the years, made many women leave the family-owned salon feeling special.
Brenda went on to further her beauty education in 2010. She studied at Wrights Beauty Academy to become an instructor, where she took pride in mentoring new cosmetologists.
Brenda was also an active member of her church, Grace Baptist Church in Marshall, alongside her husband. Brenda enjoyed her time working as a Sunday school teacher, she loved working with kids and teaching them about Gods love.
Brenda enjoyed spending time with her long-time clients, while making them look beautiful. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, be it her siblings or her large gang of cousins, nieces, or nephews. Family was always her priority.
Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Luann Leslie Church; her parents, Gordon Eugene Church and Nancy Irene (Pombier) Church; and her grandparents.
Brenda is survived by her husband, David Riddle of Marshall; her daughter and son in-law, Sam Tonche and Marilea (Riddle) Tonche of Lansing; three grandsons, Aiden, Noah, and Sebastian; three brothers, Gordy (Sandy) Church of Ceresco, Charlie (Missy) Church of Battle Creek, and Jack (Liz) Church of Fenton; one niece, Danielle Church of Battle Creek; four nephews, Brandon (Sarah) Walbeck of Battle Creek, Stephen Barrons, Matthew Church, and Hunter Church; one great niece, one great nephew, three great, great nieces, and her special friend and care giver, Don Tucker.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Grace Baptist Church in Marshall, Michigan.
